A split-level home (sometimes referred to as a bi-level or tri-level home) is a home style in which the floor levels are staggered. There are typically two short sets of stairs, one running upward to the main living areas where the bedrooms are also located, and one going downward toward a basement area – sometimes finished with an entertainment room or even an in-law set-up.
