ella's way books

Ella’s Way founder, Sherry Zentner Cerino is a Registered Nurse and children’s book author with
over 40 years of experience in a variety of hospital and community settings. While caring for
patients in Pediatrics, Maternal Child Health, Intensive Care, Long Term Care, Special Needs and
Rehabilitiation, she has worked with many culturally diverse children and adults with medical
needs and disabilities, developing her strong passion for respect and tolerance of differences.

Ella’s Way is an international team of children’s book authors that use unique picture books to
create conversations with young children regarding diversity, disability, equity, acceptance,
inclusion and kindness. Ella’s Way is an acronym for “Early Learning Leads to Acceptance,”
(E.L.L.A.) and each story offers an age-appropriate, sensitive introduction to acceptance when
children begin to form their first friendships. The Ella’s Way goal is to encourage young children to
respect and develop broad, diverse friendships by increasing awareness of differences.
