Have you ever wondered what wild animals live in your neighborhood? Winter is a great time to figure it out, as active creatures leave behind visible tracks, trails, and subtle clues about their daily and nightly routines. This presentation will teach you to interpret tracks and other animal signs, enhancing your winter explorations with a greater awareness of the wildlife around us.
We’ll highlight a variety of mammals and the evidence they leave for us to find across the Massachusetts landscape.
Additional corresponding in-person programs will be offered at many Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuaries, perfect for practicing in the field the lessons learned here.
