February 27, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Cary Library, in partnership with Lexington Senior Services, is thrilled to bring swimmer and author, Lynne Cox, to Lexington. We had so much fun last time that Lynne graciously offered to do it again!

Please note that we will not be recording this session.
Contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
As an athlete, from an early age Lynn has set records and achieved firsts – at age 15 setting a world-record for the fastest time for swimming the English Channel. She has achieved more than 60 firsts and world records. She is best known for her swim across the Bering Strait from the U.S. to the Soviet Union – opening the border between the two super-powers.
Lynne is a best-selling author of six non-fiction works. Her first book, Swimming to Antarctica, chronicles her early career including her record-setting 2-kilometer swim to the shores of Antarctica. Her award-winning Grayson shares the story of Lynne’s encounter with a lost baby whale off the coast of California. Lynne’s most-recent book, Swimming in the Sink, published in 2017, describes Lynne’s battle with a life-threatening illness and her path back to the water, happiness, and love. Lynne’s 7th non-fiction book – sharing more stories in the water – will be published sometime in 2021!
